A business deep clean is worth booking at four points: before you move in or out, after building or refurbishment work, ahead of an audit or important visit, and whenever routine cleaning has fallen behind. It is a one-off or periodic intensive clean that removes the built-up dirt, grime and dust that everyday cleaning leaves, so your normal schedule can keep the building at that standard. This guide covers what it includes, how to prepare and what to ask a provider. To book one, see our deep cleaning in London service.
Business deep cleaning at a glance
Business deep cleaning is a thorough clean of offices, kitchens, washrooms, warehouses and other commercial premises that reaches the places a regular clean skips. It is for office managers, facilities managers and business owners in London and Greater London deciding whether, and when, to book one.
- How is it different from regular cleaning?
- Regular cleaning keeps on top of daily dirt. A deep clean goes further: moving furniture, degreasing kitchens, descaling washrooms and cleaning skirting, vents, fittings and high-level dust.
- Do we need a contract?
- No. A one-off deep clean needs no contract.
- How long does it take?
- It depends on the size and condition of the premises. We agree the scope and timing at the site survey, and schedule the work around your opening hours.
- Can high areas be included?
- Yes. Our high-level team works up to 12 to 14 metres with IPAF-licensed staff, so beams, ducting and high windows can be part of the clean.
Four moments to book a deep clean
- Moving in or out. A deep clean before you move in gives you a clean starting point, and one before you move out helps you hand the space back in good condition.
- After building or refurbishment work. Construction dust settles on every surface and inside vents. A builders clean removes the dust and debris so the space is ready to use.
- Before an audit or important visit. Inspections, client visits and open days are easier when kitchens, washrooms and public areas are at their best.
- When routine cleaning has fallen behind. If dirt has built up in corners, on floors or in kitchens, a deep clean resets the building so regular visits can keep it there.
What a commercial deep clean covers
The exact scope is agreed at the survey. A commercial deep clean often includes:
- Kitchens and staff areas: degreasing surfaces and appliances, cleaning inside cupboards and fridges, and washing tiles and splashbacks.
- Washrooms: descaling taps, sinks and toilets, cleaning grout and partitions, and disinfecting high-touch points.
- Work areas: desks, chairs, phones and keyboards, door handles and light switches, skirting boards, radiators and vents.
- Floors: carpet and upholstery cleaning, and scrubbing hard floors including edges and corners.
- High-level areas: beams, ducting, light fittings and high windows, cleaned by our IPAF-licensed team.
- Waste and bin areas: cleaned and sanitised so they do not undo the work elsewhere.
Where extra disinfection is needed, a deep clean can be paired with our sanitising, fogging and misting service.
How to prepare
- Clear desks and worktops of paperwork and personal items so surfaces can be cleaned fully.
- Tell us about sensitive equipment, server rooms or areas that need special care.
- Agree access times, including any out-of-hours or weekend access, at the survey.
- Name a contact who can walk round and check the finished work with our supervisor.
After the deep clean
Once the built-up dirt has gone, regular cleaners only need to keep the standard rather than recover it, so routine visits are quicker and easier to check. We offer daily, several-times-a-week, weekly and monthly contracts as well as one-off cleans. See office cleaning and commercial cleaning for regular schedules.
What to ask a provider
- Who will do the work? Our own trained teams carry out the clean, supported by an experienced management team.
- Are staff vetted? Every DNA cleaner is DBS checked and passes 5-year referenced background checks.
- Are you insured? We hold public liability and employers liability insurance, with copies available on request.
- How is quality checked? Our managers inspect the work against the written scope agreed before the clean. Our quality process is ISO 9001 certified.
- Is the quote itemised? Ask every provider to list what their deep clean includes, room by room, so quotes can be compared fairly.
Questions we are often asked
- How much does a business deep clean cost?
- It is priced by the size and condition of the premises and the work involved. We survey the site and send a free written quotation.
- Do we need a contract for a deep clean?
- No. A one-off deep clean needs no contract. If you want regular cleaning afterwards, we can set up a daily, weekly or monthly schedule.
- Can you deep clean after builders or a refurbishment?
- Yes. Builders cleans are part of our one-off service, removing dust and debris so the space is ready to use.
- What do we need to provide?
- Access to the premises. We bring the cleaning equipment and products, and our cleaners are trained to use them safely.
- Which areas do you cover?
- London and Greater London, including Heathrow, with local teams in Pinner and Twickenham.
